How do you keep squirrels from digging around in flower beds?

i would get some hard, crunchy food-and put it away from the garden.

How do you keep squirrels from digging around in flower beds?
I have had excellent results by putting down a wire, the holes in it are 2"x4". It also works on dogs that love to dig, or cats looking for a "drier" spot!! Good Luck!!
Reply:I don't have squirrels, but I keep pocket gophers from digging under my flowers by pouring a little bit of Castor Oil at the openings of their holes and around the places I want them to avoid.
Reply:dried fox urine... I use it to keep them away from my bird feeders... it works...

The hair ting work well to keep deer away - not so well on squirrels - they have come to recognize humans as a food source %26amp; not a predator… …
Reply:sit in your upstairs window with a pellet gun. a few dead bodies will keep the rest away :))
Reply:GO TO A BARBER SHOP AND ASK FOR HAIR TRIMMINGS AND SPREAD IT AROUND THE EDGE OF YOUR GARDEN. THEY WOULDN'T COME AROUND BECAUSE OF THE HUMAN SCENT. THAT IS WHAT I HEARD BUT IT MIGHT BE A URBAN MYTH.
