Mushrooms in flower beds:?

Last year I had a type of fungus I guess, they were like tiny, tiny brown capped mushrooms growing in my flower beds. When winter came they died off and we recultivated the beds, now all of a sudden I have larger brown mushrooms growing. Does anyone know a solution. I don't want to use anything toxic that would hurt the beds or flowers.

Mushrooms in flower beds:?
mushrooms are not going to hurt anything...they're living off decomposing organic matter, probably wood...do you have mulch in your garden? most likely cause...but the mushrooms will not hurt anything...you can just remove them by hand if you don't like to see them, but the only real control would be to change the growing conditions...like remove the organic matter they are feeding off of...but that material is also good for your plants...my suggestion: let the mushrooms grow
Reply:They are growing from decaying wood in the soil.

Usually limbs or chuncks of wood. Could have been pieces of lumber that have been buried. Remove those and the problem will go with that debris.

Enjoy life, stop and smell your flowers and roses.
Reply:Just pick them out, but they are poisonous so don't mush them around too much. Mushrooms come from spores, spores are everywhere. they like humid damp shady spots.
